چکیده

In this study, polyethersulfone (PES) hollow fiber membranes (HFM) were fabricated with different weight percentage (wt. %) of polymer at 16 wt. %, 18 % and 20 in order to study the impact percentages on membrane properties its dye rejection performance. Microfiltration HFM by using laboratory dry-wet spinning method. improve pore structure membrane, 3 (PVP) 8000 M.W. was added dope solution. All PES characterized Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM), Atomic Force Microscope (AFM), Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR) contact angle. The HFM’s performance evaluated terms rejection, Direct Red 80 as substitute organic wastewater. results ed that higher (20 PES) had thicker separation layer, smoother surface uniform like structures. Negatively charged polyethersulfone hollow fiber nanofiltration membrane for the removal of bisphenol A from wastewater

Removal of endocrine disrupting compound (viz., bisphenol A, BPA) by laboratoryfabricated hollow fiber polyethersulfone (PES) nanofiltration (NF) membranes have been investigated. The tailor made charged PES hollow fiber NF membranes have been developed by blending negatively charged surface modifying macromolecule (cSMM). It is resulted more than 90% removal of BPA, mainly due to negatively ch...

Municipal Wastewater Treatment Using a Hollow Fiber Membrane Bioreactor

A bioreactor equipped with hollow fiber microfiltration membranes was applied for wastewater treatment. Removal of chemical oxygen demand (COD) and biochemical oxygen demand (BOD5) was investigated. The experimental setup consisted of influent and effluent tanks, and membrane modules using Polyvinyl Di–Fluoride (PVDF) hollow fibers. The operation program included suction and backwash...

Hollow Fiber Membrane Bioreactor for COD Biodegradation of Tapioca Wastewater

The present work studied the application of membrane bioreactor (MBR) for tapioca wastewater processing that contained chemical oxygen demand (COD) ranging from 4000-9000 mg/L. A preliminary study was initially conducted in order to evaluate membrane performance with respect to its flux with MLSS concentration ranging from 4,500 to 10,500 mg/L. It was clear that fouling was observed during the ...

Mathematical Modeling and Numerical Simulation of CO2 Removal by Using Hollow Fiber Membrane Contactors

Abstract In this study, a mathematical model is proposed for CO2 separation from N2/CO2 mixtureusing a hollow fiber membrane contactor by various absorbents. The contactor assumed as non-wetted membrane; radial and axial diffusions were also considered in the model development. The governing equations of the model are solved via the finite...
